Presenting on Universal Design at Global Ed Conference

I was selected as a presenter for the Global Education Conference chaired by Lucy Gray and Steve Hargadon on November 17th at 7pm. It is going to be a great, free event where educators come together to share and learn. Since I'm pretty passionate about Universal Design for Learning (UDL), I'm going to be sharing on that topic. (Don't know what UDL is? Learn more here.) Do you have any UDL favorites that I should be sure to include? Thanks for your input!

  1. Hi Kristen,

Not sure if I succeeded, but I have tried to create technology tutorials based on UDL at Tech Ease 4 All: http://etc.usf.edu/techease/4all/.

All of the videos are closed captioned and the information is available in multiple formats (tagged PDF for screen readers with large print, and screen reader friendly web pages as well).

I have an entire section on web accessibility too. I am a big believer that creating content that is accessible will greatly enhance the functioning of current and future assistive technology such as screen readers, switches, and so on.

Let me know if you have any feedback.

    Luis
